This application (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is operated by the "Quint" App Development Team (hereinafter referred to as "the Team"). This policy sets forth the handling of user data, including personal information, of all users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who use the App. Please review this policy carefully so that you can use the App with confidence.
The App turns a spot in your home into a short, step-by-step cleaning plan that fits in five minutes, and shows you one step at a time. The App does not ask for your name, email address or phone number, does not use your location, and does not read your photo library. It uses the camera only if you choose to take an optional "after" photo, and that photo stays on your device.
The first time the App is opened, an anonymous account is created automatically through Firebase Authentication so that your home settings, your saved plans and your records can be stored and returned to you on the same device. No name, email address, password or phone number is requested at any point, and the identifier is not linked to any identity known to the Team.
To write steps that fit your home, the App stores the answers you give during setup and can later change in "Your home": whether you have a dishwasher and a garbage disposal, whether your bathroom has a tub or a shower only, your floor type, whether you have a cat or a dog, and where you do laundry. These settings are used only to shape the cleaning steps you are shown.
For each spot you clean, the App stores when you last finished a session and how long it actually took, so that it can show you "last time: 4 min" and how many days have passed. This is shown only to you. It is never used to send you reminders, and the App never sends notifications.
When a plan is generated for you, it is stored so that the same spot can be cleaned again later without generating it anew. Plans consist of a title and a short list of steps with time estimates.
If, and only if, you type a description of something to clean (for example "the pile on the chair") and ask for a plan, that text (up to 400 characters) together with your home settings is transmitted to the OpenAI API so that it can be turned into a step-by-step plan. The same happens when you tap "Too hard" on a step: the text of that one step is sent so it can be split into smaller steps. Nothing else is sent to OpenAI — no photos, no records, no identifiers. The bundled plans for the built-in spots are generated in advance and do not involve any transmission.
When you finish a session you may choose to take an "after" photo. The App uses the camera for this purpose only, and the photo is stored solely on your device, inside the App's own storage. It is never uploaded, never sent to the Team, and never sent to any third party. Deleting the App deletes these photos. The App does not access your existing photo library.
The App requires a paid subscription. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID account. The Team does not collect or store your credit card number or other payment details; the Team may receive only limited, non-identifying transaction information (such as subscription status) necessary to provide the service.
Examples: device type, OS information, date and time of use, and which screens and actions were reached (for example, that a session was started, that a step was completed, or that the subscription screen was shown). This information is collected in an anonymous form and is used to analyze usage of the App and to improve services, identify and resolve issues, and ensure stable operation of the App. The contents of your plans, your free text, your home settings and your photos are not included in these events.
Examples: inquiries voluntarily submitted by Users by email. This information is used for user support and service improvement.
The Team does not sell User data and does not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
The Team uses User information for the following purposes in operating the App.
As a general rule, the Team will not provide User information to third parties without the User's consent. However, personal information may be disclosed in any of the following cases:
Separately from the above, in order to provide the App's core features, the App shares certain data with the external service providers described in "5. Use of External Services" below. These providers process such data as necessary to provide their services.
The App uses the following external services for service operation and quality improvement. The list states what is sent to each one.
The App provides general, short cleaning steps. It does not know the products you own, and it cannot tell you whether a cleaning product, appliance or method is safe for your surfaces, your plumbing, your appliances or your health. Always follow the instructions and warnings on the products you use, never mix cleaning chemicals, and treat the App as a way to get started, not as a source of safety instructions. Section 10 of the Terms of Use sets out this limitation in full.
The Team retains Users' information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes of use, and will promptly delete or appropriately process such information once the retention period has ended. The Team also implements appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage.
Because the App creates no account with a name or an email address, there is no login and nothing to sign out of. Deleting the App deletes the "after" photos and makes the stored data unreachable. If you would like the stored data itself erased, email us at the address below from any address and we will identify the relevant record with you and remove it, normally within 30 days.
If the information collected by the App changes, this page and the date at the top of it will be updated.
