This application (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is operated by the "Shopping List" App Development Team (hereinafter referred to as "the Team"). This policy sets forth how the Team handles user data, including personal information, for all users of the App (hereinafter referred to as "Users"). Please read this policy carefully so that you can use the App with confidence.

1. Information We Collect and Purposes

• Information voluntarily provided by Users

  Examples: email address, password, etc. This information is used when Users access certain features of the App (e.g., account creation, data synchronization). Providing this information is not mandatory.

• Shopping list information stored in the App by Users

  The App stores shopping list information that Users register and save on our servers. Specifically, this includes the following information:

  • Shopping item names registered by Users
  • Associated information such as quantity, category, and notes
  • List creation and update dates and times

  This information is used to display, search, and manage shopping lists saved by Users within the App.

• Usage and access information

  Examples: IP address, device type, OS information, date and time of use, access history, operation history (for analytics), etc. This information is used to analyze App usage, improve services, identify and fix issues, and ensure stable operation of the App.

• Other information voluntarily provided by Users

  Examples: inquiries and survey responses voluntarily submitted by Users. This information is used for user support and service improvement.

2. Purpose of Use of Collected Information

The Team uses User information for the following purposes in operating the App:

• To provide, operate, and improve the App
• To display, search, and manage shopping lists saved by Users
• To respond to inquiries from Users
• To prevent and detect unauthorized use and security issues
• To analyze App usage and utilize findings for new feature development and service improvement
• To address violations of terms of use and other policies
• For other purposes that have been disclosed to and consented to by Users in advance

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

As a general rule, the Team will not provide User information to third parties without User consent. However, personal information may be disclosed in the following cases:

• When disclosure is required by law
• When consent has been obtained from the User
• When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the User's consent is difficult
• When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and obtaining the User's consent is difficult
• When cooperation is necessary for a national or local government body, or a person entrusted by them, to carry out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the User's consent may impede the performance of such duties

4. Use of External Services

The App uses the following external services for operation and quality improvement. User account information and stored shopping list information may be stored by these services.

• Supabase (authentication services, Realtime, storage, database, etc.)

5. Retention Period and Management

The Team retains Users' personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes of use, and will promptly delete or appropriately process the information once that period has ended. We also implement appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage.
